Re-View

I know I am going to get some backlash for this one, but I don't care!

Evita has been showing on one of the cable movie channels that I have and never watch. I got sucked into it on Sunday morning and haven't been able to get the tunes out of my head since. I remember loving Evita when it came out in theaters. Perhaps it was because of Madonna or maybe because it brings back childhood memories (it was the first Broadway show I ever saw). I'm over Madonna as Evita now. I mean it was a nice moment in time, she did a great job worthy of the Golden Globe and I love how we now know that she was preggers with Lourdes during the filming. What strikes me more, now here in 2006, is Antonio Banderas.

Antonio was truly amazing in that film. I cant remember if Madonna overshadowed him in the press for the film or not (I am sure she did), but I think we should give a special Golden Globe to him. He clearly was the strength and the backbone of the film, and well, the costumes too.

Evita re-view:
#of days the song "A new Argentina" has been stuck in my head: 4
#of times I am irritated by Madonna's overuse of her movie teeth: 6
#of times I revolt myself at the thought of Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith as a couple: 14
Cry meter: level 2
Wardrobe Jealousy: level 3

Lost and Found

Ana Lucia is Dead. And I'm now back into LOST.

Last night's episode was amazing in that finally one of the main characters goes completely insane and starts killing people. Is he one of the "others"? Is he just crazy? Was he trying to set Henry up? I dont know and to be honest I dont care. Its just great to finally see people on this island wig out to this extent.

I know if I was stuck on that damn creepy Island with all of those freaking people I'd go ape wild too. Which brings me to the point of my post. If stuck on the LOST Island, what items from civilization would I miss the most.

#1. Air conditioning
#2. Wireless internet access and an ibook
#3. Cell phone
#4. Sunglasses
#5. Sun block
#6. A tweezer
#7. an ipod
#8. a Starbucks
#9. electricity or a power supply
#10. a tv (with a full cable package and/or Direct TV)

Coachella Review

to see video from Coachella go here

Depeche Mode at Coachella...

#1. Not DM's best show. You could tell, they didnt seem to want to be there
#2. HOME was the best performance
#3. Seeing DM from 1.3 miles away makes me sad
#4. Hearing DM do Photographic and Stripped was pretty cool
#5. Perhaps I was too far away but they were not loud enough

end result...thank goodness I am seeing them in NY in 2 weeks.

Coachella
#1. Never again will I go to the beast that is Coachella
#2. Dry heat is not my thing
#3. The bathrooms....oh the bathrooms... there is not enough Purell in the world!
#4. I've never seen so many wasted people
#5. Audio overload...to many bands, too many sounds, too many things to run to
