Cupcake Wisdom...

Yesterday my sister came over and brought the most gorgeous cupcakes I have ever seen which prompted me to make note of a trend... Cupcakes are back. Finally, that tasty goodness of our youth is back with a fresh new enjoyable sophistication. Yummm.

To celebrate the return of the cupcake, here are some cup cake quotes:

"America is an enormous frosted cupcake in the middle of millions of starving
people." -Gloria Steinem

Judge: "Don't spit on my cupcake and tell me it's
frosting!" Homer: "What did she say about cupcakes?"

"Well, that's real swell, but it still doesn't get the cream in the cupcake." Samantha Sex and the City

"Now I know what you're thinking. 'What could be stranger than a big fatass floatin' cupcake?' Heh. How about one that spits tobacco?" - Cupcake Cabin Boy

"Good morning, Mr. M. Looks like you could use a CUPCAKE" - Tracy Flick Election

Comments:
best cupcakes in New York can be found at:

and this is coming from a bakin' lassie that has made an entire wedding cake out of cupcakes, so trust me...

Mmmm, cupcakes. I need to go find some.

this is the year of the Cupcake. LA is all about Cupcakes (even for breakfast!!!) There is a new bakery in bev hills called SPRINKLES that sells nothing but cupcakes, that's it just 10 varieties of cupcakes. Fashion.

I should airmail you a cupcake from Cupcake Royale ;)

Cupcake Royale

I don't even like cake, and these are the decadent caramel of crack :P

Why can't there be any cupcake places by me? That blows. Cupcake Royale in Seattle's the closest, and while I might be tempted as hell, I just can't see a 14 hour roadtrip for cupcakes.

Fine. I'll do it.
Somebody bring a camera, let's make a movie out of it.

The cupcakes were beautiful, but the actual cake, meh, I've had better. The place - the Cup Cake Cafe, was on the food network on Unwrapped. And I'm determined to visit as many NYC places that are mentioned somewhere on my Sunday night line up of Iron Chef America, Food Network Challenge, and Unwrapped. Next stop - Donut Plant, I think it's somewhere in Chelsea. They have blueberry frosting, yum.
